My Antonia

According to Willa Cather in My Antonia, Antonia is raised on a farm by mr. and mrs. shermida and has no education except for learning how to work on the farm.  Antonia grew up and had 7 children and worked on her farm for a living.

It would change because, it would be told from a womens prespective and not from a mans prespective there for antonia would have a different prespective about the other characters.

She is very effective she tells the story like she is actually a man. Yes Jim sounds like a man

Because he was telling the story of antonia from his prespective and they were really good friends and Jim had feelings for her.

In conclusion Willa Cather told a great story from Jims prespective.

Underage Drinking

• Some states permit parents to supervise their children when they are drinking

• Comentary 1:They let teenagers buy, smoke, and dip tobacco products when their 18, and we can't buy purchase or drink alcohol at 18 without having an adult having to buy it for you.
• Comentary 2:This is a great law but when we are going to a party with some friends we don't want our parents tagging along it feels weird but if your at the house with your just parents some parents let you do what ever we want.

• When parents have concrete, enforced rules about alcohol, young people binge drink less

• Comentary 1: Parents have those rules until the teen turns 18, but then he/she moves out then the rules disappear and they can't control them any more.
• Comentary 2: Parents enforce strict rules about alcohol but they will not enforce rules about teenage sex or the use of tobacco products and drugs, thats why there is so many television shows about pregnant teenager and there are so many crackheads in the world.

•  Some claim that when teens feel they have their parent's approval to drink, they do it more and more often when they are not with their parents.

My Rebuttal/I Say:

• Nevertheless, I say that if teens learn how to drink responsibly under their parents supervision they will be able to drink responsible any where they go. Also they should lower the age to drink and purchase alcohol to 18.
